Three teenagers arrested after carjacking in Birmingham city centre
The owner of the car also suffered injuries to his leg after being stabbed
Three teenagers have been been arrested for their roles in a carjacking in Birmingham city centre.
West Midlands Police were alerted to the incident just before 3am on Saturday (November 9th) on the junction of Gravelly Lane and Mona Road in the north east of the city.
The driver of the car had been found on the ground by emergency services with injuries to his leg after being stabbed.
It later transpired that he had been driving the car when he was stopped by the teenagers, who got into the car and drove off after he was thrown out.
Officers proceeded to engage in a high-speed pursuit with the suspected stolen car, reaching speeds of up to 100mph.
The car eventually was stopped after it had rammed into several other police cars at the end of the pursuit, and the three teens were arrested.
All three of the teenagers - one aged 14 and two aged 15 - currently remain in police custody as investigations into the car theft continue.
