Amazon pauses ban on Visa credit cards
Both companies are trying to "resolve a dispute" over fees

Online retailer Amazon has paused bringing in a ban on UK-issued Visa credit cards.
The company previously announced it would stop accepting them as a form of payment "starting 19th January 2022".
An Amazon spokesperson said the online retailer is working with the card issuer to "resolve a dispute" over fees.
A Visa representative added that both companies will "work closely together to reach an agreement."
Amazon customers received an email by the company earlier today (17th January) informing them about the upcoming ban:
When the ban was announced, Amazon cited the high cost of processing transactions using credit cards as the reason behind the move.
Customers will still be able to use debit cards, including Visa, and non-Visa credit cards, it said.
Though, for now, Visa credit cards will continue being accepted until further notice.
