Suggestions flooded into the studio, could love taste like cheese? Because, you know... love can be cheesy from time to time. Perhaps love should be spicy? Strawberry?

Listen to some of the suggestions you sent in.

Who made the flavoured Rowie?

Having recruited the help of a local baker to create the world-first in 2019, Jeff was dispatched to speak to the team a the Byron. Visiting the busy bakery in the middle of the night - that's when they do the baking don't you know - he manged to get the back on board for 2020.

...although, it's fair to say that they were a little worried about what they might be trying to flavour their Rowie's with!

The shortlist of flavours - and you voted for your favourite!

Alan Meston suggested the flavour of a chocolatey spread - and we couldn't love that more! After all, top of the list of things that come to mind for Valentines include chocolates!

Next up is the totally brilliant flavour suggestion of Marshmallow - suggested by Kelly O'Brien because "love makes you go all soft and gooey".

Spicy. Love should be spicy, right? "it represents the spice in your love life", suggested Allan Sleigh.

Over half of the votes cast picked chocolate!

Introducing Jeff and Lauren's love flavoured love Rowie

Jeff and Lauren first came up with the idea for a Valentines themed rowie in 2019, when, during a meeting after the show the idea to shape the Aberdeen delicacy like a heart was struck.

Aberdeen's Byron Baker answered their call for help and swung into action, creating a prototype which passed Jeff's taste test - and looked like a heart!
