Stuart Armstrong wants Celtic to continue their 'relentless' form

Stuart Armstrong is looking for Celtic to continue their "relentless" Premiership form against Inverness on Saturday.

The Highlanders are the only club to have taken points off the Parkhead club this season.

The Hoops are nine points clear of Rangers at the top of the table with a game in hand but would have had 30 points from 10 games had Alex Fisher not struck late at the Tulloch Caledonian stadium in September to give the hosts a 2-2 draw.

Brendan Rodgers' side went on to win the following seven domestic matches - five in the league - and Armstrong wants the Hoops to keep that excellent form going this weekend at Celtic Park.

"Slightly, especially the way it happened up there last time," said the midfielder when asked if he was annoyed at dropping points against Inverness.

"Conceding late on was disappointing but our form in the league has been great and we've been relentless and will look to do the same again at the weekend."

Armstrong has been in fine form in recent weeks and he admits that playing centrally, as opposed to on the left where he has often played for the Parkhead club since signing from Dundee United in February, 2015, has been key.

He said: "We had a talk at the start of the season about what's expected from me and I've been trying to deliver that in training by working hard and I've managed to get some opportunities in the team.

"Taking those opportunities is important because we have a competitive squad and everyone wants to get in.

"It's clear to see that's my favourite position and where I feel I'm best in the team.

"That was one thing I'm more than happy about this season that the opportunity has arisen."
