Rangers defender Bilel Mohsni is set to be the first victim of an Ibrox clear-out.
The Tunisia international is among the 12 members of Stuart McCall's squad who are out of contract this summer. Gers still do not know which league they will be playing in next season while McCall is yet to be told if he will even still be in charge beyond the summer.
But centre-half Mohsni believes his time in Glasgow is up, regardless of whether the Light Blues seal promotion back to the Scottish Premiership through the Championship play-offs.
Reports in Germany have suggested the 27-year-old former Southend defender is close to agreeing terms with Freiburg.
But a source close to the player said Mohsni is still mulling over his options.
He said: "Bilel is out of contract at the end of the season and it doesn't look like he is going to stay at Rangers with the way things are going.
"There has been contact with clubs, not only in Germany. He is an international player so he attracts interest.
"There is nothing definite at the moment, whether it's from Germany, France or anywhere else. He is still undecided about what he is going to do in the future."
Mohsni was signed by former Gers boss Ally McCoist back in July 2013 after a successful trial stint.
While he helped the fallen Glasgow giants cruise unbeaten to the League One title last year, his erratic displays this term have seen him slip out of McCall's line-up.
"He would have loved to stay at Rangers but the way things are, he doesn't seem to be welcome," the source added.
"It's not like he wants to move on but he is out of contract and has to look at his options.
"However, Bilel won't sign anywhere until the season ends in Scotland."
