Littlejohn returns to Glasgow City

Irish international midfielder Ruesha Littlejohn has signed for Glasgow City for the new season. The 25 year old is no stranger to Glasgow City having initially joined as a 16 year old and has had many seasons in a City jersey in between spells in different countries, most notably with Liverpool and Arsenal in England and <a class="article-body-link" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IL_Sandviken "IL Sandviken"">IL Sandviken in Norway. In 2015, Littlejohn was with Celtic. The opportunity to come back to City under Head Coach Scott Booth was one Littlejohn has grasped with both hands and she certainly impressed the City boss in recent training. Booth said, "Ruesha has always been a player on my radar since coming to the club. We were fortunate that she was able to train with us recently and her ability is unquestionable. She has a winning mentality and has proved that she will work hard to break into an area of the team that is already very strong." On returning to City Ruesha said, "It's great to be back at City once again and starting out on a clean slate with new coaching staff. However, firstly I am grateful to Celtic and all the coaching staff for helping me last season and being so accommodating with my working commitments, taking time to help with individual sessions and also to the girls that I have became friends with, I wish them all the best. "Having talked to the international manager she wants me pushing myself against the best players and working hard so therefore I have to be at Glasgow City. I came in and trained for two weeks before Christmas with options of going back to Norway but after the 2 weeks I decided it would be best to stay here. I enjoyed the training and feel that I can get fitter, sharper and learn a lot from Scott, as well as being able to fit in with the girls and the style of play. I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things and developing more as a player and hopefully contributing to more success for the club.
