Rangers midfielder Josh Windass has hit back at Scott Brown after last week's Old Firm mauling, telling the Celtic skipper - wait till next time.

Brown did his best to rub salt into Gers wounds by claiming Sunday's 5-1 triumph had been "men against boys".

But Windass - the only Ibrox man to escape Parkhead with pass marks - believes his side can settle scores when Celtic are welcomed to the other side of the city on December 31.

When asked about Brown's comments, the former Accrington Stanley playmaker replied: "Is that what he said? He can say what he wants. I can't really speak for Scott Brown .

"He played reasonably well on the day and fair play they beat us. But just wait until the next time.

"I heard Kenny Miller say that Rangers were seven points behind one year with five or six games to go and still won the league.

"We are only five games in so to say we are out of the title race at this stage is a ridiculous statement."
