The 18 year old winger was originally at Fulham before signing for Manchester City in a ÂŁ12million deal in July 2015, and he has already played for the City first-team.
Roberts was in Glasgow over the weekend for a medical and was at Hampden Park on Sunday to see Celtic surprisingly lose their League Cup semi-final to Ross County.
