Woman killed in fire in Aberdeen
It broke out in a block of flats near the Lang Stracht
A woman has died in a fire in a block of flats in Aberdeen.
The building on Shapinsay Square, near the Lang Stracht, was evacuated after the alarm was raised just after 9pm on Monday night.
More than a dozen firefighters helped bring it under control.
A 39-year-old woman died in the blaze, but nobody else was hurt.
Police officers have been at the scene overnight, and a joint investigation with the Fire Service.
So far the fire is not believed to have been started deliberately.
