Woman hit by car in Banchory

A woman's been badly hurt in a road accident in Banchory.

She was hit by a black Nissan Qashqai on the High Street at rush hour yesterday evening, Tuesday 9th October, just before 5.00pm

As a result of the collision the female pedestrian was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where she is currently being treated for serious injuries.

The occupants of the Nissan Qashqai were uninjured.

Sergeant Rob Warnock, from the Inverurie Road Policing Unit, said: "Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are at an early stage and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the black Nissan Qashqai or the female pedestrian prior to the incident to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 2666 of 9 October."
