Woman due in court after cocaine and heroin seized during car search

A 42-year-old woman was arrested and charged.

A woman is due to appear in court following the discovery of class A drugs during a vehicle search.

Police acted on intelligence and stopped a vehicle on Clarke Street in Aberdeen on Tuesday 7 January at around 8.20pm.

Cocaine and heroin estimated to be worth around £11,500 was discovered during the search, as well as a three-figure sum of cash.

The 42-year-old woman was arrested and charged and is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Wednesday 8 January.

Detective Constable Lindsay Hellings said: “This recovery underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious and Organised Crime Strategy.
