Woman airlifted to hospital after North East crash

A woman in her 20s has been taken by air ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, after a two car accident on the A947.

Her condition isn't known.

The crash happened shortly before 9am near Plaidy, between Turriff and Banff.

A second woman had to be freed from the wreckage, and she was taken to ARI by road.

She's being checked over for a possible back injury, but she's not believed to have been badly hurt.
