Fire crews have been called out to a wind turbine in flames in Aberdeenshire.

Emergency services received the call around quarter past two this afternoon.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 2.14pm on Wednesday, 23 November to reports of a fire affecting a wind turbine near Mains of Lauriston, Aberdeenshire.

"Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene, where crews remain onsite and are liaising with onsite personnel to make the area safe.

"No firefighting was required."
