Former Finance Convener at Aberdeen City Council Willie Young is bowing out of politics, after failing to gain re-election for Bridge of Don.

The Bridge of Don candidate's been the subject of some controversy in recent weeks after it emerged £200,000 of public money was used for repairs without the proper approvals.
