Last February Gill Thomson from Inverbervie was told it was too dangerous to perform anymore surgery on her due to her worsening Crohn's Disease - she'd have to start end of life care.

In September she had to sit her family down and tell them Doctors didn't think she'd make Christmas, or possibly even another few weeks.

She's managed to outlast those predictions, she's even beaten kidney failure in the meantime.

But as if this wasn't hard enough, going through it during a pandemic, meaning she's barely seen most of her family - including two of her three sons - is tougher.

As part of our Behind the Mask series, Gill spoke to Northsound Reporter Lewis Michie:

Gill will however receive her first dose of the Covid-19 Vaccine in Stonehaven today (Friday February 12th)
