Back in summer '67, Aberdeen headed Stateside to play under the name of Washington Whips in the President's Cup.
The event was staged by American sports promoters who were looking to lauch a professional soccer league.
Eddie Turnbull's young squad reached the final of the competition at the LA Memorial Colosseum, only to lose 6-5 to Los Angeles Wolves.
With the 50th anniversary coming up next year, some commemorative artwork's been launched at Pittodrie.
