Watch: RNLI in Aberdeeen experience massive fundraising dip

Despite the fall in income - mostly due to the pandemic, the crew say they are busier than ever. Our Reporter Lewis Michie visited them at a very windy Aberdeen Harbour.

The RNLI say their fundraising income has fallen by two thirds over the last year due to the pandemic.

But lockdowns haven't made them less busy, quite the opposite.

As many flocked to the seaside for 'staycations' or found unique ways to exercise or have fun it meant more people in and around the water.

And of course fishing never stopped either.

Our Reporter took a trip down to Aberdeen Harbour to speak to Stephen Brown who is third mechanic on the Aberdeen lifeboat.
