Watch: Relive Denis Law's Freedom of Aberdeen weekend
The 'Lawman' was greeted by thousands on Union Street
Around 15,000 people lined the streets of Aberdeen city-centre last night for a parade in honour of Denis Law.
The football legend switched on the Christmas lights after being awarded the freedom of the city.
He scored thirty goals for Scotland - one of them was in that the famous victory over England back in 1967.
But he came from humble beginnings, growing up in Aberdeen before making the move down south.
Before the celebrations, he caught up with our reporter Phil McDonald to discuss the honour.
On the Saturday - he was given the Freedom of Aberdeen at a special ceremony.
Then came the parade on Sunday, which fell alongside the switch-on of the Christmas lights.
Afterwards, he gave his reaction to reporters alongside the Lord Provost of Aberdeen, Barney Crockett.
Others to have been given the freedom of the city include Sir Alex Ferguson, Nelson Mandela and the cast of Scotland the What?
