Two people taken to hospital following two-vehicle collision near Inverurie

Two people have been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision near Inverurie on Tuesday.

Police, paramedics and an air ambulance were dispatched to the B9001 at the A920 shortly before midday.

Two motorists were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary of treatment, their condition remains unknown.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.55am on Tuesday, 31 October, 2023, police were called to a report of a two-vehicle crash on the B9001 at the A920, near Inverurie.

“Emergency services attended and two motorists were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for assessment.

"The road was cleared around 2.05pm and enquiries are continuing.”

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 11:54 to attend a two-car RTC on the B9001.

"One ambulance, a Special Operations Response Team (SORT), and an air ambulance were dispatched to the scene.

"Two patients were transported to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.”
