Two people charged following drugs discovery in Peterhead

£30,000 worth of class A drugs was found

£30,000 worth of crack cocaine and heroin has been found by police in Peterhead.

It follows a raid on York Street on Wednesday.

A 32-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman have both been charged over the discovery.

A Police Scotland statement said: "Targeting serious organised crime involving drugs is a priority for North East Division under Operation Aspen to ensure our communities remain safe places to live and work.

"Officers will continue to proactively tackle illegal drugs and associated criminal activity and would urge anyone with any concerns to contact Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
