Two men have been taken to hospital following a disturbance in Aberdeen city-centre early this morning.

Officers were alerted to an incident near Trinity Court on Crown Street at around 12:45am.

The 20 and 24-year-old are currently receiving treatment at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

PC Jennifer Urquhart, of the Divisional Alcohol Violence Reduction Unit (DAVRU) said: "Enquiries are at an early stage, however this has been a contained incident and we are following a positive line of enquiry.

"I would like to thank the local community for their patience while our enquiries have been carried out. A section of Crown Street will remain cordoned off throughout this morning to allow further enquiries to take place."
