Two injured after car mounts pavement in Aberdeen

Two people have been taken to hospital after they were hit by a car which had mounted the pavement.

The man and woman were struck by the vehicle as they walked along King Street in Aberdeen, Police Scotland said.

Both pedestrians were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after the incident, which took place at about 12.20pm.

Their conditions are being assessed by medics.

Police officers closed the road in both directions to allow for investigations to be carried out
