Two hospitalised after crash involving motorbike near Banchory

The motorcyclist and pillion passenger were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following the collision on Sunday.

Two people have been taken to hospital following a crash between a car and a motorbike on a Royal Deeside road.

The collision happened on the A93 near Bridge of Canny around 3pm on Sunday 4 August, involving a Triumph Rocket motorcycle and a Nissan Qashqai.

The male motorcyclist, 43, and female pillion passenger, 55, were taken to ARI for treatment.

The two occupants of the other vehicle were uninjured.

Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage to get in touch as soon as possible.

Inspector Lorraine Mackie said: “Our enquiries into the crash are ongoing. I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.

“The road re-opened around 11.30pm on Sunday, 4 August, 2024. I want to thank members of the public for their patience while we carried out investigations.

“Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2127 of Sunday, 4 August, 2024.”
