Two due in court after major drugs seizure in Aberdeen
The significant recovery of heroin was made yesterday afternoon
Class A drugs with an estimated 'street' value of around £81,000 have been seized in Aberdeen.
The significant recovery of heroin was made yesterday afternoon, Wednesday March 21, 2018, in the city-centre.
Two local men aged 37 and 55 were subsequently arrested and charged in connection and they are expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today, Thursday 22nd March.
Detective Sergeant Calum Bell said: "As a result of valuable information provided to officers, a significant amount of illegal and harmful drugs have been removed from the North East. Illegal substances are not welcome in our communities and we will continue to target our resources daily to intercept them before they end up in the hands of vulnerable people.
“I would continue to ask anyone with information about the supply of controlled drugs to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you wish to remain anonymous."
