Two people have been charged after thousands of pounds worth of drugs were seized in Aberdeenshire.
Around £9,000 worth of substances - including cannabis - was found at a rural property in the Tarves area of Aberdeenshire yesterday.
As part of the raid, drug-related paraphernalia was also found.
A 20-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man, both from the local area, were subsequently charged in connection and are expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.
Detective Sergeant Martyn Thomson said: "This was a significant recovery of Class B drugs which came as a direct result of an intelligence-led police operation."
He added: "No matter where you live in the North East - from coastal towns and rural communities to the city-centre - officers work tirelessly day-in day-out to gather information about the sale and supply of drugs so that we can take targeted action.
"We are always grateful for information we receive from the public in relation to drugs and would continue to urge communities to be on their guard of suspicious behaviour and let us know their concerns. The intelligence we gather is essential to target our resources to the right places at the right times and make the region an even safer place to live.
"Please continue to report your concerns to us by contacting Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 in confidence."
