Two bodies found in the search for missing Drummore couple
Susan and James Kenneavy were reported missing after their car washed up on a local beach
Police searching for James and Susan Kenneavy, whose car was found washed up on a beach in south west Scotland in bad weather, have found the bodies of a man and a woman.
The couple's Ford Kuga was found empty on Drummore beach near Stranraer in south-west Scotland on Thursday morning, sparking a major search.
Police Scotland said the body of a woman was found at the edge of the water in Port William, Newton Stewart, in Dumfries and Galloway, at around 8.15am on Saturday.
A man's body was found nearby a short time later.
In a statement, the force said: Although formal identification has still to take place, it is believed to be the missing couple and their next of kin has been informed.
A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
