Two Aberdeen teenagers have been charged with attempted murder.

Two teens - aged 15 and 16 - appeared in court today.

They were both charged following an alleged attack on a man in Gardner Road in the Kincorth area of Aberdeen.

A man in his 30s was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries shortly after 8am on Saturday.

The 16-year-old, who is from Edinburgh, and 15-year-old boy, who lives in Aberdeen, both appeared in private on petition at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday.

They were both also charged with being on property with the intent to commit theft. The older youth was allegedly caught in possession of drugs.

Both teenagers, who cannot be named for legal reasons, made no plea or declaration.

They were released on bail and expected to appear in court again at a later date.
