Two Aberdeen schools closed due to coronavirus

Hazlehead Academy have a suspected case, and Glashieburn Primary a confirmed case of the virus - The Council say deep cleans are taking place in both.

Two Aberdeen schools have been closed today amid the ongoing coronavirus situation.

Hazlehead Academy announced last night that their school would shut for the day to allow for deep cleaning. This is down to a suspected pupil case.

This morning Glashieburn Primary were forced to close, the Council say this is a Confirmed case of the virus within a pupil.

It was first thought both schools would re-open tomorrow, however that is now not looking like a guarantee.

An ACC spokesperson said:

“We will issue updates in due course about when Hazlehead Academy and Glashieburn School will reopen.
