Traffic and travel information for SPE Offshore Europe 2019

The exhibition takes place at P&J Live between September 3rd and 6th.

Offshore Europe takes place between the 3rd and the 6th or September 2019 at P&J Live.

Expect roads across Aberdeen to be much busier than normal across the day and at peak times.

Here's what you need to know including information to get you to and from the exhibition, closed roads and parking restrictions.

Parking

Parking at the new P&J Live is limited and must be booked in advance via their website.

Park and Ride

There are dedicated park-and-ride locations (Bridge of Don Park and Ride, Kingwells Park and Ride, Craibstone Park and Ride) for SPE Offshore Europe, parking is free of charge.

A regular bus service operates every 15 minutes to and from the exhibition.

Vehicle Drop-off point

There is a dedicated area to drop-off at the exhibition, this includes private vehicles, minibuses and coaches.

Taxi Drop-off point

A dedicated Taxi pick-up and drop –off point will operate outside the Hall 1 entrance.

Bus Shuttle

There are free shuttle busses to and from the exhibition. See the schedule here.

Closed roads and parking restrictions

Dyce Drive will be closed to general traffic from September 1st till 6am, September 7th.

That means no access between Dyce Drive at the junction with the A96 and Wellheads Drive.

Only permitted Offshore Europe shuttle busses will be able to use Dyce Drive during this time.

The diversion to avoid this closure is using the A96 to the junction with Airport Road, then along Dyce Drive towards P&J Live.

Parking or 'waiting' will not be allowed on the following roads with illeagally parked vehicles being removed by Aberdeen City Council from September 1st until 4pm, September 6th.

  • Market Street, Stoneywood from its western junction with Wellheads Drive to Greenburn Cottage.
  • Hope Farm Roadfrom the A96 Inverurie Road to the C89C Chapel of Stoneywood-Fairley Road.
  • Un-named road adjacent to Stoneywood Cricket Club, Stoneywood, for its entire length.
  • Wellheads Drive from its northern junction with Wellheads Crescent to Farburn Terrace.

The following roads will have parking or 'waiting' restricted bwteeen 10am and 4pm on the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th of September.

  • Un-named roads within the Rowett South housing development to the west of Hope Farm Road.
  • East Side Gardens for its entire length.
  • Forrit Brae for its entire length.
  • Hopetoun Grange for its entire length.
  • Hopecroft Road for its entire length.
  • Hopecroft Crescent for its entire length.
  • Hopecroft Walk for its entire length.
  • Hopecroft Avenue for its entire length.
  • Hopecroft Drive for its entire length.
  • Hopecroft Terrace for its entire length.
  • Hopecroft Gardens for its entire length.
  • Sclattie Park between the A96 Inverurie Road and Hopetoun Grange.
  • Stoneyton Cottages for its entire length.
  • Stoneyton Terrace for its entire length.
  • Bankhead Avenue for its entire length.
  • Greenburn Drive from the U52C Stoneywood Road to Bankhead Avenue.
  • Greenburn Park for its entire length.
  • Greenburn Road for its entire length.
  • Millhill Braefor its entire length.
  • U52C Stoneywood Road from the rail bridge to Bankhead Road.
  • Waterton Road for its entire length.
  • Lade Crescent for its entire length.
  • Brimmond View for its entire length.
  • Craibstone Avenue for its entire length.
  • Ruthriehill Road for its entire length.
  • Market Street, Stoneywood between its junctions with Wellheads Drive and Stoneywood Road
  • Auchriny Circle for its entire length.
  • Phoenix Place for its entire length.
