Three people have been rescued from the water after their dingy capsized off Stonehaven.
They were transferred to lifeboat crew by a passing yacht around half 10 this morning.
An RNLI spokesperson said: "I can confirm that the Stonehaven Lifeboat was tasked by HM Coastguard at 10.34am today in response to a call about a dinghy capsizing and three people in the water. The volunteer crew at the station launched in Stonehaven’s Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat. When they arrived on scene the casualties had been picked out of the water by a passing yacht. The three people were then transferred to the lifeboat which returned them and their dinghy safely to shore."
