Man in hospital after taking unwell aboard boat at Fraserburgh Harbour

The man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary as a precaution.

A man has been taken to hospital as a precaution after falling unwell aboard a boat at Fraserburgh Harbour.

Ambulance, fire and police crews were spotted in the Harbour Road area this afternoon.

The alarm was raised at around 11.40am and the man - who was working aboard a boat at the time - was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary to be checked over.

Enquiries are ongoing and emergency teams are still at the scene.

The Health and Safety Executive has also been informed.

"Around 11.40am on Wednesday, 14 August, 2024, we were called to Harbour Road, Fraserburgh, after a man became unwell while working on a boat at the harbour.

"Emergency services attended and the man has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary to be checked over as a precaution."
