Two arrested after St Patrick's Day trouble in Aberdeen bar

Two men have been charged after a series of fights in one Aberdeen Bar on St Patrick's day .

Police were called to reports of a fight in Malone's in Shiprow around 10.30pm that night.

A 26 year old and a 27 year old have now been arrested - they'll be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

A man and two women were hurt in a separate incident in the bar that night.

The man suffered a head injury and two women aged 31 and 25 also sustained minor injuries - enquiries into that incident are ongoing.

Constable Stuart Robertson, of the Divisional Alcohol Violence Reduction Unit, who is leading the inquiry, said: "This was a violent assault which took place within a licensed premises. The victim was taken to hospital where he received treatment for a head injury.

"Two other members of the public, who had been enjoying their evening, were also injured as a result. A significant review of CCTV is taking place and we are following a positive line of enquiry. Alcohol related violence will not be tolerated and I would urge anyone who was present when the assault took place, or anyone with information relating to this incident, to make contact with the Police using reference number CF0061060318.
