Three drivers caught more than four times the drink drive limit in North East
Four motorists were caught by Police over the weekend over the legal limit.
As part of Operation CEDAR (Challenge, Educate, Detect and Reduce) the four drivers, three men and one woman, have been reported to the Procurator fiscal, as part of a campaign by Police running over the weekend to promote responsible driving.
Three were detected in the Moray area and one in the Aberdeenshire area.
Road Policing Sergeant Rob Warnock said: 'We will continue to carry out Road Policing operations to attempt to deter and detect drink driving in our communities, however, it's disappointing to see drivers almost four times over the drink drive limits and the potential consequences that can occur.
'Road Safety is a priority for Police Scotland and we will continue to encourage drivers to take responsibility for their driving.'
