There’s a reminder to lock your front door, and your car, after three vehicles were stolen from Aberdeen streets in the last week.

A grey Kia C'eed with registration RX55 ABY was stolen from Froghall Gardens between 8pm on August 25 and 8am on August 26.

A white Nissan Micra with registration BD62 WBW was stolen from Rubislaw Terrace, between 9am and 4pm on 27 August and a blue Ford Mondeo with registration SD14 TKC was stolen from Marchburn Road between 9pm on 28 August and 6am on 29 August.

Detective Sergeant Andy Machray said: "We are appealing for anyone who has seen these vehicles or witnessed any suspicious activity to get in touch with us.

"We would also like to remind people to be vigilant to their home security. We ask that people don't make themselves a target to opportunistic thieves and ensure that valuables and keys are left out of sight and that doors to homes and vehicles are always locked even if you are at home.

"If you have a garage use it and if not park in well-lit areas.

"If you do see something unusual in your neighbourhood please report it to us on 101 or speak to any police officer. In an emergency always dial 999."
