Three arrested after alleged hardware shop robbery and assault

Three people have been arrested after an alleged assault and robbery in Aberdeen.

It's said to have happened at the Screwfix in Torry just after 8:00pm last night.

More than £1,000 was taken from the shop.

Police are speaking with two men, aged 29 and 31 as well as a woman who is aged 27.

Detective Inspector Allen Shaw, who is leading enquiries, said: "I would like to thank those who have already assisted with this investigation.

"Our enquiries are still ongoing and I would ask anyone who was in the area around the time in question and saw anything they think could help to call 101 quoting ref. no. 3724 of Feb 20 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you would prefer to remain anonymous."
