Three 17-year-olds charged in relation to £10K worth of vandalism in Aberdeenshire

An incident at a rural property in Alford occurred last Wednesday night (Oct 21) causing thousands of pounds of damage.

Three 17-year-olds have been charged following vandalism at a rural property in the Alford area on the 21st of October.

The three charged have been reported to the Children's reporter after damage estimated to be at the cost of over £10,000 was caused.

Constable Wayne Young, from Alford Community Policing Team, said;

"Vandalism will not be tolerated and I urge young people to consider the potential consequences of their behaviour and actions.

I also encourage parents and guardians to engage with the children and young people in their households in order to have an understanding and awareness of their social circumstances."
