Thousands of pounds has been raised in just a week to repair vandalism at the Royal Deeside Railyway.

Around £10,000 worth of damage was caused when the windows of a historic carriage were smashed near Banchory last Monday night.

Secretary of the Preservation Society Bill Halliday says vistors have been digging deep to donate - and so far they've raised almost £3,000.
