Teenager raped at Aberdeen shopping centre

An 18 year woman was allegedly raped on the roof of the St Nicholas shopping centre in Aberdeen.

Police say a 20 year old man has been arrested in connection with the incident at quarter to four on Saturday morning.

Shoppers found police guarding the roof garden area, which was sealed off, although other parts remained open.

Detective Inspector Cordiner who is investigating the crime said “we are following a positive line of enquiry into what appears to be a targeted assault on a vulnerable female within the city centre”
