Teenager dies after car crash in Aberdeen

Two others were treated in hospital for minor injuries

A teenager has died after a car crash on the B9077 in Aberdeen early this morning.

The incident, involving a black Audi RS3, took place at around 12:40am.

A 23-year-old man, the driver of the car, and a 22-year-old man were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with minor injuries.

The 19-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road remains closed between Kirkton House and Leggart Terrace while a full collision investigation is carried out.

Sergeant Lesley Morrison, of Elgin Road Policing Unit, said:

"Our enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing and our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.

"I would urge anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the car prior to the incident to get in touch.

"Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0176 of 25 September, 2022."
