Teenage girl hit by car in Newmachar
A teenage girl has been injured after being knocked down in Newmachar.
The 15-year-old was hit by a car on the A947 near Hillbrae Way as she got off a bus around 11pm on Monday night.
The vehicle involved is said to be a small dark coloured car containing two males, who briefly stopped at the scene.
However, they left before speaking to the girl, heading in the direction of Aberdeen.
The girl was taken to Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, with minor injuries.
Police are appealing for witnesses who can provide a statement and either dash-cam or CCTV footage of the incident.
Road policing sergeant Andy Ramsay said: “It is crucial we identify this small, dark-coloured vehicle and extensive enquires are ongoing in the Newmachar area including reviewing private and public CCTV."
