Technip To Enter Discussions Over Potential Job Cuts

North Sea oil firm Technip say they will be consulting with their workforce over potential redundancies.

In response to the claims, Technip have said: "Technip UK confirms it will be restructing UK Subsea delivery business.

"The proposal forms part of the excelerated cost reduction measures announced earlier by the global Technip group.

"The company will enter into a period of collective consultation with its workforce relating to its proposal to achieve cost saving by reducing the number of staff positions.

"This is being proposed to reflect the anticipated reduced requirements and needs of the wider industry.

"This consultation process will be carried put in accordance with legislative requirements.

"Group wide measures are designed to ensure Technip maintains its leading position within the industry.

"This proposal covers the UK Subsea delivery business based in Westhill Aberdeen."
