Aberdeen City Council have called on taxi drivers who are available to help people stranded at the city bus station.

Its as Storm Arwen causes mayhem across the region.

People at the Union Square bus station have been left with no way home after operators were forced to cancel services due to the weather.

No further buses will be leaving tonight.

A post on the Council social media pages said:

'Any spare taxi drivers are requested to go to the bus station as there are passengers stranded. People should be aware there are no more buses leaving from the bus station tonight.'

Wind and rain has caused havoc across the North East tonight with fallen trees and power outages.
