Aberdeen's Nuart festival has been awarded the Place Management Award.

A team of internationally acclaimed artists showcased their talents by creating eye-catching murals on walls around the city centre which attracted large crowds to Aberdeen city centre over the Easter weekend in 2017.

The award was handed at the 2017 National Business Improvement District (BID) Awards.

The results were based upon online votes from members of the public and a group of experts.

Nuart Aberdeen has won three other awards earlier this year.

Chief Executive of Aberdeen Inspired Adrian Watson said:

“The festival was very successful and sparked a huge amount of interest in the city with large crowds coming to the centre to see the street art throughout the year.

“The winner of the award was partly determined by public vote which is particularly pleasing and another indication that the festival has made an impact with people in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and further afield.”
