Nicola Sturgeon explains why Scots have to stick with lockdown rules
Nicola Sturgeon's making a plea to Scots "not to get distracted'' by messages from England, where the lockdown is beginning to be eased.
Instead she said they must continue to follow Scottish Government guidance, requiring them to stay at home unless it is essential.
"I want to reiterate those announcements do not apply yet here in Scotland,'' she said.
"That is not, let me stress, for any political reason, it is because the Scottish Government is not yet confident these changes can be made safely in Scotland yet without running the risk of the virus potentially running out of control again.

"So Scotland's lockdown restrictions remain in place for now.
"We do not at this point want to see more businesses opening up, more people going to work, we do not yet want to see more people using public transport, and we are not yet changing who can or should be at school.''
The only easing of restrictions in Scotland has been allowing people outside to exercise more than once a day.
Nicola Sturgeon, speaking at her daily briefing from the Scottish Government's HQ in Edinburgh, stressed this change does not allow people to sunbathe or have a picnic.
"It doesn't give people a licence to meet up at the park or at the beach,'' she said.
Nicola Sturgeon stressed that "progress against this potentially deadly virus remains fragile''.
She added: "I know these restrictions continue to be extremely tough, and I know that hearing talk about easing the lockdown makes them seem probably even tougher.
"But please, I am asking you for now to stick with it.''

She stressed: "To combat this virus we still need to stay apart form each other, we still need to stay at home. And the more we do that now the sooner we will be able to ease more of these restrictions.''
She added: "We all want to see our friends and families, we all miss them more with each day that passes. We all want to see children get back to school and we all desperately want to get back to some kind of normality.
"Please know I want all of that too - I want that as your First Minister but actually I also want it as an ordinary person who is missing my family very much indeed.''

Ms Sturgeon added: "Please, if you live in Scotland, abide by the law that applies here and follow Scottish Government guidelines.''
