Aberdeen boss Stephen Glass says they were undone by two poor refereeing decisions in their 2-2 draw with Rangers at Ibrox.

The Dons took an early two-goal lead on a night where the home supporters paid tribute to former boss Walter Smith.

Christian Ramirez and Scott Brown both scored headed goals before the Light Blues launched their comeback.

Alfredo Morelos scored a header from a James Tavernier free-kick before the captain's penalty salvaged a point for Steven Gerrard's men.

However, Stephen Glass says neither of the set pieces should have been given by referee John Beaton.

He said: "I am happy but I think we could have walked away with more.

"There was obviously an incident with a penalty kick which doesn't look like a penalty kick to me.

"Other than that I thought we were brilliant defensively and carried a threat as well.

"I am happy to come away with a point if you had given me that at the start of the day, but I am pretty disappointed with the way it has ended".

Steven Gerrard says there is a lot they need to fix after dropping points in the Premiership at Ibrox for the third time this season.

He told Sky Sports: "We've conceded two really poor goals in the first ten minutes and gave ourselves a big challenge.

"We can't keep conceding goals first at this level. The two goals are very disappointing and frustrating.

"I need to look at us because we're not doing things well enough at the moment. Teams are getting too much joy against us".

The Ibrox boss also says David Bates pulled Fashion Sakala's shirt for the penalty that snatched them a draw.

He added: "The referee has given the decision. He is a lot closer than me and Stephen (Glass).

"It looks as if Fashion gets the wrong side of the defender and there's a shirt pull.

"Whether that's soft or not enough to be a penalty - that's not my decision, it's the referees decision.

"He has given it and we've managed to get a point off the back of that".
