SSEN hope to restore power to all but 7,000 homes by tonight
SSEN have been telling us when they anticipate every home that has lost power due to storms will return to full service

Electricity network SSEN hope to restore power to all but 7,000 homes in the North by the end of tonight (Monday January 31).
At peak 100,000 homes in the region were without electricity due to a combination of Storm Malik and Storm Corrie over the weekend and into Monday morning.
Now that figure has reduced to roughly 24,500 with Stonehaven and Kemnay most recently seeing their power return.
SSEN Director of Corporate Affairs Graeme Keddie has told us:
"We've made really good progress restoring power to customers today after the impact of storm Malik over the weekend and storm Corey overnight last night
"Engineers are having some access issues but we are getting through as much as we can.
"We've got teams out at most of the faults that we have.
"It's our aim that we will get to a situation overnight that they'll be only 7000 homes without power, and then really work through them tomorrow, making sure that we are prioritising those that have been without power the longest.
"There may be some small pockets of customers that will be without power until Wednesday, but we will make sure that they have the welfare and support required."
Aberdeenshire Council say provisions for hot food and showers will likely remain similar tomorrow in the areas still without power.
