Nearly 8,500 drivers were clocked speeding by average speed cameras on the A90, Aberdeen to Dundee.
The road, which stretches 51.5 miles and is one of the countries busiest roads, includes a short 50mph zone at Laurencekirk.
One driver was clocked at more than 131mph on the road, whilst a further 10 were found to be doing anything between 111mph and 131mph.
The figures, obtained by the Scottish Conservatives, also show that over 100 drivers were doing anywhere between 91mph and 111mph.
"Worrying figures" show dangers at Laurencekirk
Of the 8,430 speeders clocked by the average speed cameras, more than 3,600 were at the Laurencekirk junction.
North East MSP Liam Kerr says: "It’s appalling to see drivers flouting the law by using the A90 as a race track and reaching speeds of 131mph.
"The extent of speeding offences along the whole stretch of the A90 is extremely worrying but the figures highlight just how dangerous it is at Laurencekirk for those trying to cross the carriageway.
"There is no doubt average speed cameras have had a calming effect on the majority of traffic on the A90 but it’s clear speeding is still prevalent on the road."
