SPECTRA, Aberdeen's Festival of Light has returned to the city after a two-year break.

The free urban light show takes visitors on a journey around the city exploring the theme of Scotland’s Year of Stories.

The event which is run by Aberdeen City Council and Curated Aberdeen seeks to connect locals with the culture of the past, present and future.

Spectra is a family-friendly event, with light features being showcased in Aberdeen Art Gallery and outdoors to ensure that people are kept safe.

The event is hoping to bring lots of visitors to the area once again which will provide a hustle and bustle to the city centre.

Artists, thinkers, and musicians have been working together to create interactive sculptures, architectural projections and experimental music for Aberdeen locals and visitors.

Alongside the stunning light event will also be the Catalyst Conference which is focusing on culture not being a luxury.

Tickets for the conference are being sold at a pay-as-you-can price to make it accessible for all.

SPECTRA will run from February 10th-13th from 6.30pm – 10pm.
