The SNP Group in Aberdeen City Council have announced an intervention on the Marischal Square Development. They presented an emergency motion for a immediate hault on the councils plans for construction. The motion will be put to Councillors at the next full council meeting on the 4th of March, which could lead to a re-vote on the project. SNP Group Leader Callum McCaig said: "All the decisions around Marischal Square have been shrouded in secrecy or last minute changes so that very few people actually knew what was going on.

"The whole process has been bad and the outcome could be much worse."
