Snake found in Aberdeen van 'could have been there for months'

Northsound News understands that a snake found in a rented van in Aberdeen could have been hidden away for around three months.

One driver was given a fright when it appeared from nowhere in the vehicle hired from Hertz.

SSPCA are at the scene trying to find the snake, which is believed to still be hidden away.

There is no risk to the public and the serpent's owner has been identified.

Scottish SPCA Senior Inspector Alison Simpson said, “Following a call from a member of the public in the Aberdeenshire area we attended an incident where a snake was spotted trapped in a rental van.

“We are currently awaiting an engineer to help us locate the snake."
